2015 Vuelta DAY España: Foot, Mouth

Thursday - September 3, 2015 - Lleida

Manuel reports from Stage 12 of the 2015 Vuelta a España.

Trek Factory Racing’s Danny van Poppel won Stage 12, as the peloton caught the five-man break within sight of the finish line in Lleida. Perhaps more interestingly, team owner Oleg Tinkov has demonstrated his skills as a master communicator on Twitter as of late, claiming that women had no place in bike racing and later saying that Chris Froome was racing like a girl. As it turned out, Froome had a broken foot, which made Tinkov apologize to the Team Sky rider. No such apology was issued to 49.6% of the world’s population.
